The Alternate Reality

 

A teenage girl named Yumi and a teenage boy named Ken, both woke up in an alternate world identical to the one they both came from. This world was completely unfamiliar to them. They both thought they were alone and began to navigate this strange new world in their own way. Yumi was scared and emotional. She spent the first day crying and trying to figure out what happened to her. She wandered the empty streets of Tokyo, searching for any signs of life. As time passed, they both matured and grew into their teenage years. They were 17 years old when they finally found each other. Both scavenging for food when they stumbled upon each other. They were both shocked to see another person and they were overjoyed to have someone to talk to. They quickly bonded over their shared experiences and became fast friends. For the next few years, they continued to live their lives in this alternate world. They explored even more of the city and found other signs of life, but never found any other human beings. They created a life for themselves and found joy in each other's company. One day, they both stumbled upon a strange device that changed their lives forever. Yumi and Ken couldn't explain how it worked, but it transported them back to the real world. They were stunned to see that the world was still there and that humanity had never disappeared. They were overjoyed to be back in the world they knew, but were confused and sad to leave their alternate world behind. Yumi and Ken's story was one of survival, friendship, and hope. They learned that even in the darkest of times, they could find strength in each other and that they were never truly alone.
